His debut album Eddie Money was a smash, and the singles “Baby Hold On” and “Two Tickets to Paradise” were getting tons of radio airplay. He was a pretty hot property at that moment, and it was giving him his first opportunity to spout off about his music. I forgave Money for expecting me to share his enthusiasm for odd hours. It was co-written by Eddie Money, Elizabeth Myers, and Ralph Carter, and released as a single, reaching #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #9 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. “Shakin'” is a song by Eddie Money from his Platinum-certified album No Control, released in 1982. So Money wrote the song in the hope of being allowed to take his girlfriend on vacation. His girlfriend’s mother wanted her to marry a doctor or a lawyer, not a musician. Money wrote the song about his girlfriend at the time. The song has since become a staple of classic rock radio, and was Eddie Money’s signature song.
